Batman, Mr. Drake and Cole

For all those who just stumbled upon this website: this blog is actually not about computer games. However, as I started playing computer games back in 1982 (on an Atari VCS 2600 and later on an Atari 800 XL which by the way was the reason why I started coding) I claim to be something like an eGames Pro ;-). Hence, from time to time I will misuse this blog to post something about computer games.

I’ve just finished Batman: Arkham Asylum today. So, instead of starting with great games from the early 80s let me start with some games I recently played. I’m not going to mention all the crap I played, so this is something like a top-x list of games I recently played:

Batman: Arkham Asylum – one of the best games I’ve ever played and definitely the best movie game ever released. Even if you are not a Batman fan you will love the characters (the coolest Joker ever, and Poison Ivy rocks too) and the setting of this game.

Forget about the story and characters of Uncharted 2. The story is predictable and the characters are shallow. Nevertheless, Uncharted 2 is an awesome game. Actually, it’s the first game that really deserves the label Action Adventure.

There has been a lot of talk about Heavy Rain. Many players claim that Heavy Rain is only a sequence of Mini-Games. And in fact thats true. Others claim that Heavy Rain is a gorgeous story-driven game and an awesome interactive movie. And in fact, thats also true. I belong to the second group ;-)
